How does it work?

Viduet helps patients better recognize their symptoms and take appropriate actions in time. For this purpose, we have developed several programs that meet the needs of the patient.

Depending on the program, patients take home measurements and complete regular questionnaires through the app. The measuring equipment is calibrated and delivered to your home by Viduet Health. The measurement data are easily linked to the platform and made immediately visible to patient and healthcare professional.

Patients are coached directly using the app. Based on combined trends of measurement data and entered complaints, the patient receives targeted advice. In this way, the patient can take the right actions at the right time.

With this care module, Viduet enables intensive monitoring of patients with osteoarthritis, focusing on weight, grip strength, and symptoms. Since an optimal movement pattern plays an important role in the treatment of patients with osteoarthritis, it is recommended to combine this care module with the Activity Coach care module.

Patients receive a Viduet-connected scale and regularly measure their weight. All values are transmitted directly to Viduet. In addition, patients regularly complete a questionnaire to gain insight into disease progression. When the patient attends a follow-up appointment at the hospital or physiotherapist, grip strength measurements can be recorded in Viduet. Trends in grip strength development can provide valuable insights into the patient’s muscle strength.

Viduet makes trends in measurements visible for both the healthcare provider and the patient. As soon as the measurements and/or questionnaires indicate that action is required, the hospital and/or patient is immediately informed in the appropriate way. This enables timely intervention and reduces the administrative burden of recording these values.

Coach the patient to adopt an optimal exercise pattern

Activity Coach

Exercise is an important factor that can influence patients’ disease course. Using the Activity Coach care module, you ensure that the patient is coached to adopt optimal movement patterns. Thus, the patient is coached, without overexerting himself, to still move enough to promote the rehabilitation process.

When you choose to deploy the Activity Coach, the patient will track their movement patterns through the smartwatch. Using our specially developed software for this smartwatch, the patient will be coached throughout the day to move within the ranges set by their healthcare provider, even if the patient moves too much. This care module can easily be combined with coaching by a physical therapist. In that case, the physical therapist can set the optimal bandwidths and adjust them as needed.

Through a smart algorithm, Viduet recognizes when the patient moves out of bandwidth for an extended period of time. Viduet can then also inform the physical therapist and patient in the desired manner, so that the set bandwidths can be revised if necessary.

Please note: Smartwatch data is used within Viduet for non-medical support.
