Viduet’s primary purpose of use is to support patients with chronic disease. Within this so-called E-health Supported Self-Management, Viduet offers you one or more interventions that will help you better manage your health. To do so effectively and safely, measured parameters such as your blood pressure, activity and/or questionnaire responses, among others, must be used and stored in our systems.
If you have authorized another person via a unique code to view your data, this person – via a personal Viduet account – can view your data and, depending on his/her access rights, adjust settings. You can revoke another person’s access rights at any time via the Viduet app or the Viduet dashboard.
We may use certain data and personal characteristics for research in the future. This will be in anonymized form. You have given permission for this type of use in the terms of use. Should you not wish to do so, you may request that your data be removed from our systems at any time. In addition, we may use certain data to improve the platform. Again, you can request that your data be removed from our system at any time.
Security
Our servers are equipped with comprehensive firewalls and use the latest versions of operating software. User passwords are stored encrypted. We use the secure https protocol for the main data connections between the user and our servers, both for smartphone apps and browsers.
Google Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics. This use is anonymous and therefore not subject to the AVG.
IP addresses are anonymized and no User IDs are stored.

Your rights
You have the right to access, oblivion, rectification and/or completion, data portability, restriction of processing, a human view of the processing and being able to object to data processing. To make such a request, please contact us. See the contact page for this. We will respond to your requests within 4 weeks.
Should insufficient data be provided with your request, we have the right to request more data in order to fulfill the request.
Based on Article 12(5) of the AVG, we may charge fees or refuse the request should the request be unfounded or excessive.
If you do not agree with the answer you receive from us, you can file a complaint about it with the Personal Data Authority.
Basis for processing
Based on the basis of your consent, we process your data. In some cases, we also process your data on the basis of executing an agreement with your healthcare provider.
Purposes of processing your data
We process your data for the following purposes:
- being able to create an account,
- be able to contact you for support,
- Being able to deliver equipment.
Requested permissions for the app on your phone
Photo, media and file access are used to set up your profile picture, attach to messages you share with your own community and to upload smartwatch app files to a smartwatch. Technical information about your phone and synchronization are used to improve the operation of the app on devices from different vendors and models. The app needs Internet access to communicate with the Viduet server. The camera is used when you want to take your own profile picture, video calling and taking pictures of your medication or device, for example. Bluetooth and location are prompted when your phone needs to connect to devices. We do not process location data.
Sharing your information with third parties
Within Viduet, you can control who you share your data with. This is done through a so-called community in which you can add someone. You can decide to remove someone from your community at any time.
Outside of Viduet, your data is not shared with third parties by us. If this happens, it will always be in anonymized form, unless it is not possible for the purpose. If this cannot be done in anonymized form, you will be notified separately and also asked for your consent.
Retention of your data
We do not keep your data longer than strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time. For this, please contact us via the contact page.

In some cases, Viduet processes your data on behalf of your healthcare provider/agency. If you have any questions, comments or requests, you should contact the data controller, which is often your health care provider/agency or the person as stated in the agreement with them.
